You’ve finally done it, after thinking about it long enough you’ve decided to take the first step in becoming a fully certified scuba diver, trust us this is going to be one of those decisions you never regret! And learning to dive with Eagle Divers Egypt in the Red Sea will set you up for a lifetime of adventures. Group discounts are availble, please contact us for more details. (Course price excludes PADI Material or certification fee).
What do you do?
Over 3 or 4 full days (depending on the method of study you choose) you will learn how to safely and confidently become a certified scuba diver who can dive up to a maximum depth of 18m without a PADI Professional. Over the course you can expect to learn the following;
- Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
- Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore
At Eagle Divers Egypt we pride ourselves on training divers to be the best they can be and this is achieved through guaranteed small class sizes and dedicated student-instructor time so that all theory and skills are mastered before moving on to the next step. It’s about having fun, experiencing new adventures and hopefully creating a new passion for the underwater world that wasn’t there before. We also aim to be an environmentally friendly diving centre, as such we'll recommend different ways that you can dive to preserve the natural underwater world and provide guidance on different options for the course theory, from taking the eLearning or Touch versions before you arrive, to using the PADI Open Water lite manual (PDF) instead of the paper version, all you need is a tablet and brief internet connection then you're good to go, make sure to ask about your options when booking the course.
You need to be able to swim 200m comfortably (not timed) and float for 10 minutes, not hard really is it? Also, if you’re between 10-12yo then you’ll still become a diver, but we’ll keep you a little shallower until you’re older when you’ll automatically be upgraded from your junior certification to full Open Water Diver.
Notes about the theory: PADI rules stipulate that all students must have or have access to their own learning materials for future reference and refreshers later down the line.
There are quite a few different options available now through PADI to allow students the opportunity to complete the theory before you arrive, options include:
Prices vary for each option so best get in touch with us so we can explain them to you in detail. *Please note that if additional training days are required on top of the recommended four days, a supplement cost may be applicable.
All student divers of any level are required to complete the PADI medical questionnaire prior to starting course. Any student answering ‘Yes’ to one or more of the questions may require medical clearance prior to commencing in water activities. A copy of the medical form can be found here.
